Laura and Jon

Laura and Jon were hoping for a beautiful, sunny day, which when planning a wedding in September in the northwest can always be a gamble. Thankfully their wedding day was warm, welcoming, and sun-kissed. The day’s weather reflected the love of this couple perfectly. I had the privileged of getting to know Laura and Jon through their wedding planning process and taking their engagement photos the winter prior. And let me tell you, these two have a love that spreads from their smiles and fingertips and into every action and look they give each other. This raw, rare love was on display during their ceremony and reception. Their vows and commitment to each other had me tearing up behind my lens and that’s always the sign of a good wedding in my book. Laura walked down the aisle to a song Jon had written for her, accompanied by both her parents at her side. Her father glowed as he hugged both his daughter and soon to be son-in-law. They said "I Do" next to a cascading backdrop of roses and greenery. Jon placed a ring on her hand that had a setting using the two stones from both her grandmother's wedding rings. They celebrated with a handful of close family and friends who sang, reminisced, and read poetry for them. It was the epitome of romance without being overdone and showy. It's the kind of love that whispers your name and stands by your side holding your hand through the good and bad. The kind of love that you grow old with. I'm so overjoyed to share some of their photos with you. I hope you fall in love with their day as much as I did.
