Laura and Jon's woodsy engagement session

When I initially met with Laura to discuss her and Jon’s engagement and wedding I felt completely connected to them and their story. They fell in love quickly after meeting each other but made the decision to spend their lives together after making it through some hard times in their lives. Their love is built on enduring through struggles together and walking side by side through the less than picture perfect moments of life. When I asked them each what they love most about the other, Jon replied how Laura is able to understand people intuitively and knows exactly how to help them grow. She makes him better in every aspect of life. Laura said Jon has an authentic, kind, gentle nature and a love for life.

Their love for each other passionately comes through in how they interact and speak to one another. They made it easy to capture every smile, laugh, and kiss shared! Also, they brought their dog, Ladybird, who was so sweet and patient as her mom and dad posed for photos! She was a little camera shy but just enjoyed sniffing around the woods as we explored. And I’m all for couples bringing their cuddly pets to their sessions!

I don’t want to talk right now, I just want your arms wrapped around me and this moment before it runs out.
I can’t pull you closer than this, just you and the moon on my skin. Oh, who says it ever has to end?
Let’s let the stars watch let them stare
Let the wind eavesdrop I don’t care
For all that we’ve got don’t let go
Just hold, just hold me
